We are about music, people, community, and fun.
We are music lovers who have a passion for coming together to learn, practice and play orchestral music while providing an opportunity for the community to experience and enjoy the musical arts live and in person.
Our organizational structure is non-profit focused. We operate as a 501 (c)( 3) with a Board of Directors focused on our mission.
Our Mission Statement:
The mission of the Forsyth Symphony Orchestra is to maintain a commitment to musical excellence while providing performance opportunities for local musicians and sharing orchestral music with the community.
Meet Our Conductor
Mark was born and raised right here in Forsyth County. A graduate of Forsyth County High School, he attended Mercer University in Macon, GA, where he met his beautiful wife, Julie, of 40 years. He has been the Associate Pastor at Cumming Baptist Church for the past 26 years, primarily leading worship and music.
Along with the privilege of conducting FSO for the past 3+ years, he has had the privilege of directing numerous musicals, many of which have been blessed by the performance of several of our current FSO members. He has two awesome daughters - both married to wonderful husbands, as well as one adorable grandchild.
